This last trip has been one long demonstration of Murphy's law--anything and everything bad imaginable has been happening to me. From missing my plane, to almost getting alcohol poisoned, to getting cheated out of a hundred US dollars by a taxi driver, to having my wallet stolen, its been a nightmare where misfortune doesn't stop seeking me.
But after being subject to being sick, hungry, thirsty, tired, sleepy, hopeless, helpless, and poor, I have mastered the Tao of Loss. Detachment from reality is my philosophy. |
